Well this half term has been a very busy and cold one. As you can see we did brave the cold and go down to the coast for an afternoon which was lovely as a family. As it was Valentines day we choose to visit a place me and Mr JRT used to come to quite a lot before we had additions. It was so nice to introduce Madison and Jasper (all be it what he could see from his cosy toes) to Westgate , exploring the sea shore, rock pools and the sandy beach collecting lots of shells on the way.
However the uninviting weather did put us off spending a lot of time outside so we enjoyed a couple of cosy days baking, painting and book creating. I will be the first to admit that i am absolutely rubbish at making up stories but can tell them in a way that keeps the children's imagination forever blossoming. However Mr JRT is fantastic at this and he dose this in such a way that you can remember them. As Madison proved one day this week she and I sat down one afternoon whilst Jasper was asleep and wrote a mini book. I was thinking she would base it on an interest she has which currently Barbie ..........Nope !!
( Madison's version of Daddy's story)
" Diarra said the clouds have fallen"
" He went to tell owl"
" Owl said it's snow!"
A fantastic keep sake and a great achievement for Madison.
Looking forward to some family time tomorrow with all my special people.
Have a great weekend
